Action for Animals is privately funded and run by responsible caring animal lovers. Our Society is always in need of volunteers who are willing to donate some of their time on weekdays, evening or weekends to help in the daily management, rescuing, fundraising and rehabilitation of the animals in our care.What you'll receive from volunteering:

Volunteering Opportunities
- Administrative: Assist with filing, phone calls and other office projects.
- Adoption Assistant: Assist with adoption procedures and encourage people to adopt.
- Animal Care Assistant: Feeding, cleaning, bathing, grooming, etc., in order to help the animals feel better and have a greater chance of being adopted.
Special Programs
- Education Assistants: Assist with programs at community events to educate about the importance of spaying & neutering, and general care of pets.
- Friends for Seniors: Arrange visits to Retirement Centres, Nursing Homes, and Hospitals to allow residents and patients to interact with animals for therapeutic and social reasons.
- School Program Coordinator: Arrange visits to Schools and Child Care Facilities to educate children on the responsibilities of owning and caring for their pets.
- Fundraising & Events Planner: Plan, coordinate and arrange local fundraising events, such as food drives, yard sales, walkathons, dinners, dances, barbecues, contests, car washes, plant sales, bake sales, etc.
