Action cares for pets who were surrendered by their previous owners because they were no longer cute and cuddly puppies or kittens.

Sometimes animals come to Action because their owner has passed away and no one is left to take care of them.

Others are brought to us as strays in need of food, shelter and medical attention.

Often animals in our care have been badly abused and neglected. Volunteers spend many hours, weeks and sometimes months rebuilding the animals trust and confidence. Foster parents take them into their homes to aid in the rehabilitation process.

All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered before they are available for adoption. Vaccinations are administered to protect the animals against common diseases.
